Saina Khaledi – Biography Saina Khaledi was born in Tehran, 1985. She started leaning Santour (Persian String Instrument) with her father, Nasrollah Khaledi, at the age of six. After five years, she attended music high school (Tehran Conservatoire) and got her diploma. She continued her academic educations in Music University in Tehran and got her Bachelor’s of Arts in 2007. Masters: Mrs. Soosan Aslani (Dehlavi), Mrs. Arfa Atraei. She was awarded the first place in Iran’s Santour players Festival in 2003. She has performed with different bands in Iran, Austria and Canada as such: National Orchestra of Iran Conservatoire, Iran Youth Great Orchestra, Mellal Orchestra, Hamsaz Ensemble, Ham-nava Ensemble, Kereshmeh Ensemble, etc. She has participated in various recordings either as a Santour player or a sound engineer assistant. |
Sina was born in Tehran (1987). At twelve years of age, he began studying music and playing violin under master M.Atabaki. Four years later he started learning Kamancheh with Master Ardeshir Kamkar. Also He learned the Radif of Persian classical music with various masters of the tradition including M.R.Lotfi, Zeydolah Toloi, Rouzbeh Asadian.He has performed several concerts in Iran and Canada with very well known ensembles. Since moved to Canada he had the privilege to join several professional ensembles such as Deylaman, Kereshmeh and VFO(Vancouver Fusion Orchestra) which provided him opportunities to involve in many innovative concerts. |

Arzhang Ataollahi Daf |
Arjang was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1990. When he was 6 he started playing piano under the guidance of Ostad Farid Deyhim when he was 6 and Saman Ehteshami for six years. While learning piano, he also started playing Classic Guitar under the guidance of Ostad Sina Khalaj and the Master Keyvan Mirhadi for five years. As he turned the age of 12, he was interested more in learning Persian Classic Music. Under the guidance of his father, Madjid Ataollahi, Arjang started learning Persian traditional music instruments such as Divan and Tanbour. Also, at the same time, he started playing and learning Daf on his own as he realized that he was drawn to the instrument. He has also received guidance from Ostad Masoud Habibi. He moved to Canada at the age of 16, in Aug 2006 and is studying high school at Heritage Woods Secondary School. Performances: >>>Divan & Daf Duet at Ebn-e-Sina Theatre in 2004 (Tehran, Iran). >>>Playing music in several music tracks broadcasted by Iranian TV Channels (Tehran). >>>Performing live Persian music with Navaz Ensemble on CBC Radio Canada (Nov 2007). >>>Performing Daf Solos in different celebrations such as Eyd-e-Norouz Celebration at Red Robinson Theatre. - He considers his accomplishments in Sports and Music as unreachable without his parents' and sister's help and support |
